Meet Jenny Cisney – Kodak’s Chief Blogger

Jenny

This week, Kodak is sponsoring a pretty incredible giveaway on our site. As part of the fun Jenny Cisney, their Chief Blogger and Social Media Representative, is going to be acting as our Guest Photographer Judge this week! Jenny wrote “I am choosing this photo of me because I am holding the world’s first digital camera! That’s right! The first digital camera was invented at Kodak in 1976.”

More about Jenny:

I have been at Kodak for 11 years and have been the Chief Blogger and Social Media Manager for just over one year. I love to have fun with photography! I am always looking for ways to have a good time taking pictures. Whether it’s tying a camera to a kit or attaching it to my dog, I look for new and interesting ways to capture the moment. I even create photo projects for our Kodak Tips and Projects Center. I also strive to document as much of my life as I can…from the places I go, to the people I care about, to what I eat. Social media, like blogs, makes it all the easier for me to share my photos and my experiences with the world.

Several of Jenny’s Favorite Face Photos:

Jenny - tinaThis is my best friend, Tina…we are always laughing. This photo shows the goofiness that ensues when we are together!

Jenny - oscarStewie
Do animal faces count? I couldn’t help myself…they are a big part of my life and they have
some of the most expressive faces. Could Oscar look any more forlorn?

Jenny - aaronMy husband, Aaron, is my most frequent subject – always quick to smile and laugh.
So many of my photos of him are like this, sitting across from me at a meal!

Fun Q&A With Jenny:

*What do you love most about shooting faces?

I love capturing the moment - the time, the place, the feeling - all reflected in
someone’s face. You can look at that photo and go back to that instant and
remember everything.

*What do you find most difficult about shooting faces?

Sometimes I want to capture someone unaware, but it is hard to ignore a camera.
Sometimes you have to distract your subject to a more natural shot that isn't as "posed".

*Briefly describe your most exciting or favorite photo shoot.

I was fortunate to be able to attend the Beijing Olympics this past summer.
Every moment was a photograph whether it was the rich history and culture
or the action of the athletes. I took hundreds of pictures!

*One of Jenny's "most fun" photography moments:

Once I took pictures while riding on the back of my husband's scooter as we
rode around town. I had to hold on for dear life. I got some great shots by
holding the camera up in the air and pointing it back down at us... a birds eye
view of us scootering!

Jenny’s Helpful Photography Hint:

I like to shoot in bright natural light when possible. And I take as many photos as I can,
that way you have several to choose from. You can find more ideas at the Kodak Tips
and Projects Center

Welcome!
I use lots of Kodak products (even own and use a Kodak point and shoot) as my father in law used to work at the Kodak plant in Windsor, CO before he merged with Carestream. I love our Kodak printer and paper! It's perfect for all that scrapbooking that I never get around to. :-) I'm heading over to your blog right now. Excited to have you here!
