There is only one category for our "Sports in Action" theme. Your photo needs to have at least one face in it, but it doesn't matter if it is a child, adult or a combination of both. Please just make sure that your post has only one sports themed photo in it and that's it.

With my gazillions of soccer photos, you'd think this category would be easy, but nope. I'm bad about labeling my photos correctly when I upload them so it was so hard to find a good shot (bad Angie!)

I captured my brother roping a steer!
Luckily I had taken a LOT of pics back when my son played soccer. Although he's only in the background of this photo, this was one of my favorite photos. The boy on the foreground in blue is my son's friend.
We're not quite at the "organized sport" stage in our house yet, so swinging at the playground will have to do!
I have to say that we don't have many action shots of sports but if you ask a 1 year old she will tell you swinging is the best sport of all!
i got a sideline pass to take photos at our local university football game. the coolest experience ever--i'm a huge fan and spent three years on the field myself in the marching band. i loved going back as a photographer and capturing the images from the homecoming game. the team huddled up before running on the field is one of my favorites!
You guys pick the greatest themes! As your stereotypical Soccer Mom, this was the hardest one to narrow down just 1 shot. I think we should be allowed to enter 1 shot PER KID!! just teasin...thanks for letting us amateurs share our lives thru photos.
I love capturing sports in action...especially with the smaller kids - they are so intense and have some the BEST facial expressions when focused

Yeah, I had a hard time finding a shot that was a sport, I finally decided that ballet is a sport!

This is my first entry to I heart faces! My entry was one of my favorite soccer pictures from my 6 year olds spring soccer season. The only problem I had was that I couldn't get the button to post on my comment on my Flickr account, any suggestions for this or anyone else have the same problem? Thanks!

I take a ton of pics at my kids soccer and baseball games, but not many of them at great. Looking forward to seeing everyone's pics and hopefully pick up some ideas!

This weeks contest was great! It forced me to spend some time learning to concentrated on action... which usually doesn't interest me, but I had a lot of fun doing it! Thanks for the great time IHeartFaces!
I tried to capture the serious joy my daughter experiences when she flies through the water swimming her favorite butterfly stroke.
Thought we needed a cycling photo in light of Lance's comeback & the Tour!

My entry this week is from our Fourth of July family pot luck - that actually happened on the 5th! We are BIG into croquet around there. Or, I should say, THEY are. I'm not so much, and the camera is a handy excuse to get out of it for me ;)
I tried to find something a little outside of the box. Hopefully it counts. :-)

I wasn't sure if my shot of my three year old in the pool would count as a SPORTS in action, but I posted it nonetheless. She is too young to be involved in organized sports yet. Although, next year we will be starting soccer so I will have pictures then.
