Fix-It #18 - Hands-On Photo Editing!

Yay!! It's time another Fix-It Friday here at I Faces. This is our day to learn photo editing tricks from our contributors as they explain how they “fixed-up” the special photo we gave them and then play along with the Fix-It ourselves!

This photo was taken by Jennifer from Sieck Studios and was one that we first saw in our last Constructive Feedback Friday feature. We loved her photo so much that we asked Jennifer to please let us use it in an upcoming Fix-It Friday and were so glad when she said "yes!"

We are always thrilled to feature several of our I Faces contributor's fixes on our site. All of you who have been around here for awhile now know that all of our contributors are more than capable of doing a nice, basic edit of any photo that we throw at them. We have learned so much from them over the past few months!

Some of our contributors take their fixes a step further each week though and try to show you new ways that you can add to your photo or how you can use your photo in a new, unique way (and we encourage them to do this if they choose to.) We love everything that they teach us...whether it's their basic editing workflow...or an adorable baby announcement...or a digital scrapbooking page. We just feel so blessed that they are willing to share their time and talents with all of us!

Here are our contributors take on how they would enhance this photo (be sure to click on each name/photo to learn and see even more):

Oh Andrea!!! Your tutorial was fabulous! Thank you so much!

I have been desperately wanting help with PSE--I bought it months ago and have barely used it because it doesn't look much like anything else I have used. I'm SO excited to take advantage of that online class! Thanks again!!

You're welcome. :) I'm actually in the process of making a library of short video tutorials on different tools/techniques in Photoshop Elements.

WOW! As always...so impressed with the edits this week! Great job everyone! I loved his eyes, so was hesitant to do B&W, but Jodi's fix is awesome!!!

Tracy - I also am *trying* to learn PSE7...and (along with Drew's help!) I've also come across some pretty cool video tutorials! So, there is help out there!

You guys are awesome! I love the variety of edits this week. I was inspired by Angie's and used a texture, too. Her extraction is better than mine though, LOL!

Isn't it fun to use a texture AJ? It's one of my favorite things to do right now. :)

Drew - your tutorial for "Making Eyes Pop" is fantastic. I can't get over the video tutorial...I learned a few new things in it that I'll definitely be utilizing from now on.

The B&W's were so inspiring (I think Jodi and Julie both had a B&W this week.) That looked so beautiful with this photo.

I'm trying to look through some of the links now...what an inspiration you all are!
