My "At The Beach" photo was taken just a few days ago while we were on our vacation to upper Michigan. I think we lived at Lake MI while we were there! Makes me wish I was back there already...

This is a great theme for this time of year. My husband and I just got back from our extended family vacation to the Oregon coast. Lots of "beachie" pics there!

i love taking pictures at the beach and there were several that I was trying to choose from, but i went with this one of Jade because it is how the beach makes us feel. excited to see what everyone posts.
I was so glad to have a beach shot to enter! It's been a few weeks with no entries for me. My shot is of my cute nephew's sandy face and sandy bottom at the beach in Maryland a few weeks ago. Can't wait to see the other pictures!

My picture was taken a couple summers ago. My daughter was glued to the sand and water. She had so much fun. We caught her when she stood up for a little break... wet, filthy, soaked diaper, and very serious! She is always very serious about her play!

I love the way my son's eye is peeking out from his beach towel. It's one of my favorite shots this summer.

My photo was taken last August at Wrightsville Beach, NC. It is a photo of my step daughter, who just turned 14 yesterday! Since we are leaving here to fly to New York today, to get her and bring her down here for a month of visitation with her father, I thought this was an appropriate picture for posting today. I'm sure I will be able to shoot another million or so photos this month to add to my collection of beach scenes, which I love.
It's been fun entering and seeing every one elses wonderful photos. But after a while it get discouraging because we know there's just no way we can "compete" with all the wonderful professional shots. They are just too good! Oh well, i like seeing them and learning from them anyway.
My photo was taken on the sea shell covered beach of Edisto Island, SC. I got down on my knees (which ended up bloody) to get the low shot of the boys playing in the surf. I just love the contrast!

My beach pic was taken in Naples, Florida. I WISH we were there--then we could be with my Grandpa, too.

My Beach shot was taken in Florida at Ft. DeSoto. I loved my Beach shots from that trip last summer. Time to go back.
My beach shot was taken this past June in Panama City Beach, FL. It was our little girl, Olivias, first trip to the beach. She loved it!
My photo isn't at an ocean beach, but the lake beach works for us.

We just returned from the beach...how lucky that this was the theme for the week. I made a great new friend who had the same camera as me and saw me taking photos of baby boy. Great memories -- new friends -- and photographs to remember the day. What more could a girl ask for?! Thanks for another fun week over here at I heart faces...
I didn't have too many beach shots to choose from living in Utah, but we have taken the kids to our local "beach" the Great Salt Lake and swam and played in the sand a couple times. They think it is as good as the real deal!
I just found your website yesterday. I am really loving it! This is my first entry. My regular blog is private. I assume you can't link to private blogs. I set up this blog a few months ago with the intent to post family and personal history ideas, which I will eventually get around to doing. But I'll use it now for linking my entries for this and a few other things I've found. My daughter took her first trip to the beach last June. She LOVED it!!!

It was taken in historic Yorktown, Virginia on the sands of the James River. There are no faces, but plenty of beach. It's simple, but I adore it.

IT has been quite awhile since I have been over here! But, I saw the Beach theme coming up and we just got back from the beach. My son L O V E D it! Enjoy...can't wait to see everyones pictures!

I took my shot a few months ago on the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The Florida pan handle is full of the most beautiful beaches in the world!! Enjoy~

I am #274, this is my first time entering. I have tons beach pictures, I just couldn't resist!
I've only very recently taken an interest in taking beautiful photos. The recent adoption of our two beautiful kiddos (their sister will be coming home soon) had me inspired.
My (Salamanda1920's) photo was taken at Ko'Olina Resort Lagoon. We were spending the day with some family friends. Our daughter was checking out some kids in the distance when I snapped this shot.
My photo was taken on the Oregon Coast last week ... in Pacific City, Oregon.

It's been a few weeks since I've entered simply because summer is such a busy time, but I am back and I love this theme. There is nothing better than spending a relaxing day at the beach!
What a great theme this week and we just got back from Northern California on July 5th. I look forward to looking through the entries. It's always so inspirational.
It was hard for me to adhere to the rules of having a face clearly visible in the picture because most of the pictures I take aren't necessarily posed. Normally I shoot from behind at a more artistic angle, hopefully this is enough face. This picture was taken on a trip to visit my sister working at the Coast Guard Base in Petaluma, California. This is Alex, my new friend, who is now a newly graduated Petty Officer Third Class. This picture was taken at Miwok Beach while my sister and him were enjoying a weekend away from base.

I had a tough time finding a picture for this weeks theme. We are big beach lovers in my family so I have a lot of beach pictures. But I found one that I heart the most. It is of my son (who is not a fan of waves) watching the surf with worry. I love how his little hands are clasped tightly. enjoy!
We just came back from a beach vacation. I spent the entire time taking pictures. But I went with something I took last summer instead, LOL. I love beach week!
My beach picture was taken in the latter part of July early August of 2007 at Destin, Florida. In this picture is my Great Niece, Alexa. She was only one year old at the time, I am sure. And her first time ever to be at a beach and her first experience to walk on sand. She did not like it. Anyway, it was a much needed vacation but sad as her Father was killed in an automobile accident on 7-7-07.

My beach photo was taken last fall at St. George Island, Florida. However, I accidentally put my link to go straight to my blog home page instead of the post. Can this be fixed? So sorry!
We were at Cooperstown NY for the week. Our 12 year old travel team participated in the Dreamspark tournaments. After we were out of the competition, we headed for some fun at the Glimmerglass State Park Beach. My Young One thought the lake was a bit cold, from his body language and facial expression.
I took this photo last summer at Pensacola Beach in Florida. Bug 2 had no interest in the water and had very little interest in the beach until the moat was built. Then he was as happy as could be in his own private bath tub/sand box.

My photo was taken on the Big Island in Hawaii. We had the treat of visiting the black sand beach.
my photo was taken at Crescent Beach in Florida. my daughter's friend is always asking me to take her to the beach, so one day this past summer we loaded up the car, hit Wal-Mart for snacks, and headed out. we all had a great time. i loved seeing the girls play like little kids on the beach - playing frisbee, volleyball, making drip castles in the sand, and just running around asking me to take their pictures :).
Mine was taken last year at the Outer Banks, NC. it's not the greatest, but one that I just love! My dad spending time with my little brother in the wee morning hours!

My son loves to bury me in the sand, but hates having his picture taken. This photo always makes me smile and defines the warning, "watch out or your face will freeze that way!"

My "At the Beach" entry was taken in April, as one of our first trips of spring. I take lots of pictures of my son every time we go. I love the beach in Charleston, Sc! I definitely miss it, but I only live 1.5hr away...so I'm going to visit as often as possible :-)
A 5 AM ride along the Corolla, NC, dunes brought the sunrise and this picture of pure pleasure being enjoyed along the surf.

Woo-Hoo no excuse for me here since we live on the beach. Doesn't mean we have a chance to always get out there and take photos - real life gets in the way. BUT - I love this photo I took this evening of my son pouring the gorgeous white sand through his hands.....he wasn't in the mood to smile, so needless to say.....I got what I wanted without him knowing it LOL LOL! ♥ Love you all!!

I don't have a lot of good "beach" photos. I search through my Thailand photos and found this one. I know there will be tons of entries of cute kids on the beach. I thought I'd go a totally different route and put a photo of a local working on the beach. Hope you like it!
